Patriotic People Party (PPP) is a democratic political party for the people of South Sudan 🇸🇸. Our fundamental objectives are:
  • To bring Peace, Justice, Equality and Prosperity for all the citizens of South Sudan whether in diaspora or here in the country.
  • To educate youth and create jobs by exploring and inventing new ways to boost economic in the jobless country.
  • To flush out the corruption and dictatorialism mindset in the country
  • We at the PPP believe that, if the people of South Sudan understood the crisis in our country, the leadership that had failed its people, and believing in a democratic ways, then we will fulfilled the roadmap to freedom for all the patriotic people of South Sudan. If you’re a patriot to your country, then there’s no reason to take an arm against your people. We should be willing to defend our nation for external aggression. Let have peace, love and unity for all the people of South Sudan. We believe that one day, South Sudan will have a two unique political parties. South Sudan 🇸🇸 need a rules of law that allow everyone to decide their own fate in politics. Therefore, there must be two different views whether you believe in conservative views or a liberal views. Gen. Joseph Makuer Nyieth
Chairman of Patriotic People Party (PPP) and a Secretary of Foreign Affairs for the SSDA/F

Gen. Joseph Makuer Nyieth left Mading Bor in 1985 and first join the bush as a child soldier with Twektwek while passing through Bhar el Ghazal region and later remain in Yirol town in process of searching his parents. Joseph Makuer Nyieth mother’s separated by war in South Sudan in 1985, when Joseph Nyieth was about to be burned inside with her mother and auntie, the mother sneak them out from Mading Bor, and her mother left for Khartoum until they met again 26 years later in 2011 after the referendum.
In 1986, Makuer Nyieth decided to take another journey to Tali. In that area he find himself another arm group to join. Between 1986 to 1988 General Joseph Makuer Nyieth spend his duties with Katipa Adit (Metal Battalion) as in army logistics in collecting foods for the arm forces who were preparing to go and captured Mundiri. Makuer was well respected by his fellow group in Adit back then, somewhere around 1989 General Kuol Manyang placed an order to bring back Katipa Adit in Bor area and they first settled in Tombek just near Wun Chuei a cattle camp of the Aliab people where Joseph Makuer Nyieth belong. Joseph Makuer Nyieth was ten years old when he was identified by her half sister Ajaak Nyieth who later cry for finding her lost brother. The late Ajaak Nyieth went to the Wun Chuei cattle camp and inform everyone that we had found our lost brother. When they return to the army barracks in Tombek they were told the child is not belong to you, of course one of the army leaders in the barracks was acting as Makuer Nyieth father and his name is called Garang Giet. Well, Garang Giet allow the Aliab people to take their son but to remember that the this child belong to the SPLA and he’s my son, he had been with us throughout the war and the boombardments made by air strikes by the enemy.
And in 1989 the year Gen. Joseph Makuer Nyieth first met his father since 1983 when the war first started in Mading Bor where Joseph Makuer Nyieth live with his parents, and by the way he was five years old in 1983 when his father Nyieth Panjaak Awur went to the bush.
After reunited with his father, both were happy to see each other for a very long time. His father told him that my son I’m taking you to Kolnyang for studying there you’re not going back to the army they’re now collecting your age mates to go to Ethiopia.

In October 1990 the schooling of Joseph Makuer Nyieth was cut short for another round of returning to a new struggle. When he heard that the boys are going to Palataka a new Red Army camp for studying. Immediately he ran towards them and came back to his father and a step mother and told them that he’s going with those boys. The parents refuse for Joseph to go because he was just returning where he was with the army. Despite the parents request and he went by himself leaving his father dropping tears. Joseph Makuer Nyieth was with Red Army of Palataka Eastern Equatoria for 3 years between the late 1990 to 1993.

In 1994, General Joseph Makuer Nyieth when to New Cush with his uncle family Gai Poith for a new life.
In 1995, Joseph Makuer Nyieth travelled to Kakuma were he went for more studies until 2001 when he was resettled to America in a process called the lost boys of Sudan and now is (South Sudan).
In 2009, Makuer was appointed as a deputy Secretary of Research Plan and Training in SPLM-USA National Secretariat between 2009 to 2015.
In October 2010, Joseph Makuer Nyieth testify in the United Nations on behalf of Child and Armed Conflicts in the country and he admitted that the SPLA were my mother and father they had protected me throughout when I was in those bushes.

In 2016 after the second war between the SPLA and SPLA-IO, Joseph Makuer Nyieth decided to alliance with Bol Gai Deng as a Secretary General of Kush Democratic Majority but they later felt apart political and he began to make a decision of forming a political party. He discussed his political views with one of the current vice presidents H.E Hussein Abdelbagi before he becomes as a vice president.
Also, Joseph Makuer Nyieth is a founder of World Against Wars/Disciples Of Peace. Now World Against Wars is no longer in a position of doing activities but the Disciples Of Peace is active.
He had been an advocate for peace in the social media. Gen. Joseph Makuer Nyieth participate first was working to united Rebellion and the government between 2013 to 2016.
Also, in 2019, Joseph Makuer Nyieth participate in South Sudan People’s Movement with Gen Stephen Buay Rolnyang his Chairman and later premoted to the high ranking Generals because of his longtime pattern of contributions as a patriot and a leader with in the alliance group and in the SPLA when he was a child.
But Gen. Joseph Makuer Nyieth love to be with the army that’s were he spent most of his childhood.

Education: Expert in Political Science and Criminal Justice, and currently progressing towards the PhD in Peace and Conflict Resolution.
